Has anyone replaced the crushwashers with something other than what Yamaha offers 214-11198-01-00 referred to as gaskets for the rear shaft?

I suspect Napa or another auto place would sell something that is equal. My dealer does not have stock and I want to replace them today if possible (Slight leak)

 
Thanks Zappo & C&C this set has been reused a few times and did not appear to be damaged but the bottom one has a slight drip. I was hoping to find something local to replace today.

Reuse the old one, they typically last longer than the bike without leaking.

Buy a bag of OEM crush washers and use a new one every time.

Buy a copper washer, then reuse it, it will typically last longer than the bike without leaking.

Buy a bag of copper washers and use a new one every time.

Buy a Russell Stat-O-Seal (Buna rubber O-ring mechanically bonded to the inside diameter of an aluminum washer) then reuse it, it will typically last longer than the bike without leaking.

Buy a bag of Russell Stat-O-Seals and use a new one every time.

Every one of the above choices will work equally well, just choose one and go for it. In the previous 1.79e6 discussions almost everyone agrees to just reuse the original washer until it leaks (but it never leaks).

How about not ever changing the oil. I'll bet it will go a very long time without issue, and we need a test subject.

Mudder, Autozone and O'Riley's sell washers like that. Aluminum, copper, and the rubber inserted kind. Go to one of those stores and you'll have one in hand in 10 minutes.

Yes. And I didn't ask why his rear end has a leak that almost nobody else has had. Stuff happens, I did supply a correct answer as to which crush washers works for the other 99.99999% people. Hopefully he has a part from a small, tiny, miniscule group which normally has a long, long term dependable OEM part reliability.

Just a guess, but I bet you didn't count every one.
I bet yer not too far off, even though that natural log exponent thingie is unnatural and throws me off.

I can't argue with your conclusion though. Well, I could if my name was Fred, but I won't.

ftfy. Mine was a leaker. Aluminium and copper crush washers didn't work. Softer gasket-like material with I.D. o-ring from O'Reilly's Auto did the trick.
