Washed it for yet a 3rd time since new. The gray hides the dirt quite nicely...

Installed Canyon Cages on it. The instructions are confusing but one call to tech support cleared things up.

I was wondering about adding frame sliders to these cages. I saw a Youtube video on how easily the bike can tip over when resting just on the cages.

Have others here done this?

Got to ride today. My day off finally coincided with 'pants day off, and we took full advantage of it.. And beat the rain to make it even better.

I rode her to see our local showing of Hitting the Apex. Good movie, well narrated, great videography.

Put it up for a while, if not 'til spring. Golf vacation next week, then something else, then maybe a surgery. And the cooler damp weather is wreaking havoc with these old bones. Tried a little ride day before yesterday- very uncomfortable.

Walked out to the garage to check tire pressure, and found out that the 90 degree valve on the rear tire is leaking...drove the car to work. DAMNIT!!!
Joe, are you using the Ariete valve? Probably just reseat the o-ring.
Yes...dropped the wheel off at the dealer to remove the valve, and put a straight one in. Don't really need the 90 degree valve on the rear wheel anyway.

Sorry, that went through my feeble mind as "Pants Off Day" and I wondered if I'd missed a fun holiday in Louisiana.

Went out to the garage at 3am this morning (still kinda lagged out) and made a list of winter maintenance needed...a very long list. Then I slept half the day away.

Picked up and mounted my rear wheel, so I can ride it to work tomorrow. Also got the snow tires mounted on the wife's car, I will get mine mounted tomorrow after work...supposed to get some snow this weekend.

Added some lateral lengths of chain where there were gaps in my tire chains... Oh wait, that was for the little tractor with the snowplow.

Took off the Penke shock and put on the OEM shock. Put the Penske in a fixed-rate box with insurance, stuck it in the top-case and hauled it to the post office to send to GP Suspension for the group buy rebuild.

The difference going back to the old shock is pretty apparent. Softer shock with less rebound makes the bike seem less energetic and gives it kind of a rocking effect in irregular road surfaces and under hard acceleration.

Hey bro, I know you're old, but they have weather forecasts now. I even have a weather forecast app on my smartphone. It clues me in about whether I should pick up the helmet and the "other" set of keys as I walk out the door each morning. (C'mon, man; the 21st century's been here for 15 years already!)

Rode mine to work, then around Midtown/Downtown during a 90-minute lunch break. Love the sleeveless dresses that come out on sunny days!

Work? On a sunny day?

Oh the humanity! I just got back in from some nice twisties. Rained overnight, but the roads are clean and dry, and no leaves, so sight-lines are better. A ride with an OEM shock, is better than I remembered. While I like the Penske, it's definitely not a deal breaker.
