Took AZ license plate off of "Naomie", you retain your plates here in Arizona. Washed and waxed her, she ships out next week to her new Owner: Don Carver.

Seems like she should be ridden from Chandler to Southern CA. Guess Don is really living up to his Candy Butt rep.

No, dcarver is working 7-12's at my Old Alma Mater: Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant! You don't get a choice with P, G & E, work the OT or you drag up! JSNS!

Rode her to work. Took a carrot cake in the top box for the office's Thanksgiving lunch.

Put front and back Canyon Cages on. Doesn't look too bad. Hope I don't have to use them! Took her out for a romp (100 miles) in 60 degF. Not bad at all! 1220 miles on the clock now. Looking forward to spring!

Rode her to work. Freezing cold (~40F) and about to snow bright sunshine. Should be niiiiiice (~52F and more sunshine) for the ride home.

^^^^^^^ It's all relative, my friend. Us southern boys ride often in temps above 85, so half that temperature requires serious adjustments.

This afternoon was glorious, but had to stay on-route to get home before sunset and the chill it brings.

I have to agree with our Uncle on this one. Although I had to correct his post just a bit.

Got caught in the middle of nowhere low on gas. Got so low I had to disengage afterburner to conserve fuel. Bike was cutting out in turns by the time I found a gas station.

So, since this is already NEPRT, what was your F count saying, and how much fuel did you put in (presumably brimming it)?

I want to say F count was in the 30's (miles), but I was traveling in a spirited fashion before I detected I was low. I didn't fill it to the brim, just fairly full. Put in 5.942 gallons. Since it was showing signs of sucking air, I was surprised when I looked back at the manual and found that capacity was listed as 6.6. Bike gave me every head's up. I just was in no man's land when I saw it. I usually never run below 2 bars.

One time, I ran mine EMPTY. Started stalling out, right at an off ramp. Top of the ramp it died, and barely got me to the pump after a quick restart. I put 6.7 gallons in it.

My f-stop was irrelevant because we were running against a huge head wind and I was getting something like 24mph.

On a fast mountain run once, I ran 60 miles into the f-stop, and don't remember how much fuel I put in. I do remember being impressed there was fuel left. Lol...
