About 450 miles in between yesterday and today. We camped last night on the Natchez trace. Had a nice ride in and out the Bienville National Forest in central Mississippi today. No luck finding a campground, so we are holed up in a cheap motel. I think it was a blessing as the rain is coming down and it's about 48 degrees now. Supposed to blow through tonight and we look forward to more adventure tomorrow

Stay thirsty, my friends...

Pulled rear wheel, swing arm, center stand, and relay arm. Packed the relay arm bearings (they were in good shape). Installed the relay arm and center stand - yep, with the bolts backwards, installed from inside -> out. Tomorrow is football. Monday I get to install the new Penske and put everything together ... wish I was riding instead, but it's still winter here.

^^^^^^^ That's a LOT of work, dude.
As insane as it might seem - I consider it therapeutic. I'm sure a lot of forumites feel the same.
I'm just glad I can ride year round. No time for down time.

Beautiful bike, BTW.

The black with the silver wheels is the best FJR color combo ever IMO.

I took her for a short 130 mile ride. After two months of not being able to get out of the neighborhood due to ice in the street, it felt Good! I did have to ride on the sidewalk half-way down the block to get past the ice, but it was well worth it. Temps today didn't drop below 45 so it was a nice day for a ride. Can I say just how jealous I am of you guys in warmer climates?

Home safe after 3 1/2 days and about 1000 miles. We had a great ride through central mississippi. I took a few pictures. I will throw up a ride report in a few days.

Cheers!

Rode the filthy thing to work. It really looked bad but it won't matter. It is raining out there now and I expect the roads to still be wet for my 4:15 am ride home. Of course it was 78 degrees getting here, supposed to be 40 for the ride home.

Odot, WTH is that ball of fur? Or is it feathers? Is that really an emu?
Damn we got some strange personalities on this forum.
Isn't Odot the savage who clubs and eats baby seals??? That pile on the ground is prob another animal on the endangered species list. Likely an exotic beast that Odot says is super tasty. Lol

I have heard that they are kinda greasy........but, this is a bird that I have raised since it's exit from it's shell. Held her in my arm for hours at a time. Let her roam my studio whilst I was at work. Cleaned up after her and still do in my garage.

I have fed her from my hand many times. Kept the alpacas from eating her food. Made sure she had "clean" sheets to sleep on....she is my bird....she is one of my babies.

Realized, after an incredibly bad day, that I rode to work in-between rain storms, which meant I get to RIDE home?

******* Priceless, and I mean it.

Yeah, I get it. Long time ago my labs ate a Rhea... mating couple. It was expensive..

Ok Odot, I THINK your being serious, but given your colorful history...Is that really a baby Emu? If so that's pretty cool, as I've never seen one that small. I did get the **** beat out of me by an adult Emu once, so I'm wary of those guys!
