Fixed a few issues with my windscreen after I noticed my new VStream Sport was way too wobbly on the right side. The back cover wasn't installed properly by the shop that rebuilt her nose a few months back, and the front cover wasn't fully seated. Much better now, although I still need to get used to the higher profile being more in my line of sight.

Also installed the Admore light kit in my Shad SH50 topcase. Anyone happen to know how long until the modulator resets? I've waited as long as 30 seconds and it still only flashes the first time after turning the key on. I can see how this would be a benefit in stop and go traffic, but I'm worried something's not right. I have a pair of connectors that didn't have anything to connect to behind the side panel...

Tom - my poop chute picture day is Tuesday. A quart of chicken broth has exactly 40 calories. It's going to be a grumpy Monday for sure.

In the meantime, it's going to be nice Friday. I only work a 1/2 a day, and in rare form, I don't have wear pressed clothes to see anyone - I can just sit in the office and move paper. So I think I'll take the bike to work, and the long way home.

Changed the oil filter cause the old one was leaking a little out the bottom. It was the convex type that most of you thought was the problem. Unfortunately had to pound a screw driver through it to get it to start turning.

Checked the tire pressures and adjusted to 40.5 front and 41.5 rear. Cleaned the screen and did the once over check on everything I could think of. Set my destinations in my phone, loaded the tank bag up with all the new needed items(ear plugs, clear glasses, pack of gum)

Put the bags on and secured them with my handy dandy pin-locke square retaining mechanism.

Blowing out of here at 11:15 and hitting the road by High Noon. South bound and down!!

I waited for the KTM Nov-Apr, then hadda wait another couple o' weeks to get to the dealer after it did. Made me nuts.

Joe, that is one huge advantage of trading in a bike rather than selling it first. I had my beloved Honda ST1300 right up to the minute of the sale. And I do not care who laughs at me, I was emotionally attached to Ole Blue/Dances with Rain. If I would have had to endure months of being without any bike coupled with the loss of my "friend", I would have NOT been in a good place. As it was, I had a shiny new friend (with road rash all over one side) to ease the guilt of dumping off my old bike.

Of course we do not have an "off season" down here. I can and do ride year round.

I dropped off my 06 with the new owner on January 9th, because the weather was supposed to get ******...since then, had I not done that, there were plenty of days that I could have ridden the bike, as I too will ride all year, depending on road conditions. It has been cold and snowing for the past couple of weeks, so that helps...but today the sun is out, and tomorrow it's going to be in the 60's...but I'm sure we'll have many more of those days before I take delivery. So until then, dreaming about the new bike is all I have....Is it April yet?

Joe, the least we can do is remind you each and every day you don't have a bike, that it's a great day to ride.

In the end, you'll get us back, but in the meantime...it's a great day to ride.

Not at all Joe. Sure you got the new bike coming , but ya still got to dress it.

Start thinking about accessorizing

Oh, I've got quite the collection (some new, some recycled) stashed in the basement, just waiting...

Well I managed about 50 miles on the Red wonder this afternoon. I told Mama I'd take the long way home, but at some point, you just can't milk that any more. I ran a few errands in the city and then skirted the suburbs before finally caving in to the call of home.

We will see if I can put some miles in this weekend....

And Joe - if you like the Blue like I know you do, that picture you are drooling over is pure ecstasy, man. I'm looking very forward to seeing that puppy in Ohio come May!

250 miles this morning in 70 degrees and cloudy skies. Nice ride by myself.

Went on a two-hour local ride picking up BMR bonuses - 7 post offices and the word of the day. My eighth PO picture was rightfully rejected -- too much sun glare to make out the words on the side of the building.

Rode some 450 miles today. From south of Hurricane Mills Tennessee to home. Started out just as a foggy misty rain moved out. About for an hour the roads were damp. Then somewhere in north Tennessee I got rot fully dumped on by a cell of rain. I just put the big screen up all the way and kept going. No where to stop and rain gear it.

It got cold but I turned the heated pants on and I got dry as I hit I-24 around Cadiz Kentucky. It got really foggy as I headed toward the river area to cross over into Illinois. I pulled out the rain gear and like majic. The weather cleared as I headed into the boring straight roads of Illinois.

The route I tip toed on needs to be properly ridden again when the roads are right. From Muscle Shoals to Cave in Rock is on my list to take if I head that way ever again.

Then I washed the horribleness off of her. It was gross.

Put a Ceebaily windshield on the bike. The previous factory touring screen worked good until the Helibar riser sat me up straighter. It was marginal but tolerable. Then I added the Laam seat and it raised me just that little bit that put me in the howling noise zone.

The CB is a little taller and a bit more upright. Now I can run about 3/4 up and I'm in the golden "cone of silence" or all the way up and pretend I'm on a Gold Wing and light a cigar.

Would you mind sharing what size Cee Bailey? I love my Sport Shield. I did recommend to hppants that since he is taller he might benefit from one size larger. I was secretly hoping that he would buy it and not like it, then sell it to me for pennies on the dollar. I am always out to scam my "friends" like that.
