I washed my '15 and it looked so nice I just had to ride it somewhere. I rode it over to see my parents and oddly, Dad's '07 was parked out front all clean and shiny. He wanted to ride somewhere but he was not sure where to go... So we made a nice 100 mile loop while I hit a couple places to get parts for my camper. Sunny and warm with a high today of 78F. Life is better after a decent ride.

Two words:You.

Suck.
Remember that from May to October when you are in the center of some of the finest riding East of the Big Muddy and I am down here cleaning the mosquitoes off my humidity coated face shield.

And I nearly froze on my 3:45 am ride to work this morning. It got all the way down to 57 degrees. Brrrr!

Rode the gas tank close to empty so I can try to figger out why the cruise control isn't working again.

Also imagined a 2015 between my legs while doing that... mmmm...

While I think that is a sick mental picture, it is worth noting that the factory CC on a Gen3 will probably be a bit more reliable and somewhat nicer than whatever you have on your '08.

Just sayin'

Ordered some admore lights for my SH50 and a set of speed bleeders. Heading to the stealership to use this $50 gift certificate (Loyalty rewards) to order a vStream sport screen. They're really gonna hate me since they'll have to price match Revzilla and give me the $50 off on top of that, but that's their problem, not mine.

Changed tires to T30 GT. I made on OEM BT-23 12.500 km and still some rubber left...
wow...you must be smooth with that throttle.
Not all that great when converted to miles, at a little under 8k miles.
To make an OEM tire go 8000 miles is no small feat. I rarely get a PR2 to get that much...so kudos.
My OEM Bridgestone was scorched toast at 6000 miles and there are not many curves here and I am not a very good rider. I agree that is pretty good mileage for the original tire.

Got some parts and a new tool this week. The parts are for a POS Virago I'm putting back together for a friend of mine.

Finally got a differential pressure tester for the FJR. I have a suspicious coolant loss and more white exhaust smoke than I remember being normal.

(Yesterday)

Rode a very familiar 250 mile loop yesterday by myself. Uncharacteristically, I didn't even consider inviting anyone else. This was one of those "Me, Myself, and I" kind of rides. The 3 of us had wonderful conversation under the helmet together. We shared a delicious lunch together. We saw some nice sights and not once was there any discussion about the next destination or the order of things.

When I got home, all was right with the world again.

Doesn't sound good. Get your engine oil tested for the presence of antifreeze. White exhaust (if due to coolant) will generally have a pretty distinctive odor but the oil analysis should be definitive. Good luck.

I attempted to install my SR357 rack, but got frustrated and stopped. I think because I have a stiffy, it made the install a little more difficult than I was planning. My stiffy raised my tail section a bit, so the holes weren't lining up exactly. I also think I'll need to add a washer under the center rear "bushing" to compensate for the extra space caused by the stiffy. I should get it all buttoned up tonight.

Who'd have thought that having a stiffy could cause problems...? 😉

Maybe your wife can help ya out with that....
