Fuh. By the time I was 16, I had a street bike. Jump on in there. Don't make Uncle Don come up there and be a bad influence...
Now that would be some spectacle (perhaps comical).

 
I decided at the last minute not to take the Tenere and mounted up a set of PR2s on the FJR and threw it in the trailer for a trip to Arkansas tomorrow. Winter decided it wasn't quite through with us so changing tires with the NoMar in a 28 degree garage was a little more challenging than it should have been. The tires were a little extremely stiff and the tire lube wanted to freeze but its supposed to be 78 in Harrison tomorrow so it will be worth the struggle.

To my bike, nothing, but that of a friend, replacing the rear shock absorber. And suspensions rod lubricating. It's really quick to do, barely 1h30, taking the time to cleaning / grease.
he had about 40 000 km (24854 miles).

For me, order new boots... Since 4 years, I have Alpinstar web gortex. but to bear them daily, she has tired commance, so I order the new Alpinstars gran torino **** tex...

 
When I got home from work yesterday, I had a box waiting for me from Halifax, Yorkshire GB. A set of Beowulf stainless silencers. Nice.

This morning I got them installed. The stock pipes came off easily, and the right Beowulf bolted on easy-peasy. The left side was a real *****. There was some interference between the link pipe and the joint on the can itself. I couldn't get the pipe to fully seat. That was quite frustrating. I then whipped out my trusty Dremel tool with a handful of cutoff wheels and went to work. I cut off about 1/2" of link pipe, and was finally able to get the right fit. I fired the bike up and was surprised at how much louder they are than stock while parked in the garage. I'll have my riding buddies give it a listen and let me know if they're neighborhood friendly or just plain obnoxious. From everything I've read about Beowulfs on the forum, they're louder and deeper sounding than stock, but much friendlier than a Two Bros or the like.

I then took it out for a 185 mile ride. I took the back roads down to Santa Ysabel and back. It took a few miles to get used to the increased noise. But they sound great when I wailed on it to power out of a corner or to pass slower traffic. It kinda reminds me of the V&H pipe on my YZF-600, but still a bit more civilized.

The true test will be the wife...I'll take her out for an all-day ride, and if the extra noise doesn't bother her, I'll keep the pipes. If she finds it annoying, I'll go back to stock. If that's the case, I'm sure there's somebody here on the forum that'll take them off my hands.

My city is located less than 20 km from Paris, and on the area of the city, we have a high hill, the "Mount Trouillet". This hill hosted several windmills. Today it remains one that dates from 1759 and which operates once a month (very impressive ...).

The second windmills who's on that hill became a restaurant, "the Moulin de la Galette". And this is one of the tables in the Paris region with the most beautiful view (on Paris). But as it is private, if you don't go there to eat, we can not go :(

Great pictures. I don't think I've seen a ride report from France on this forum ever (or since 2007, anyway). I enjoyed seeing your area and look forward to more, now that you're posting regularly. Put them in the section titled "Ride Reports" or people will miss them. Let's see that FJR in front of all the landmarks!

 
Yesterday actually but I removed rear wheel for tire replacement and while it was off I: pulled the drive shaft & universal and cleaned & lubed; and cleaned the swing arm & punkin; and replaced engine oil and filter; and replaced final drive oil.

 
Did those come with a pink pinstriping kit?

That ain't how you do it Hud. A blacked out bike needs black levers.

Oh wait... Are you going to have your wheels gold anodized? Ooohh shiny!

 
Little more vibes than usual, so I did a TBS after changing engine and final drive oils.
