You might try riding it past a bucket of soapy water when you get back home!
Just Kidding. I am a bit jealous right now. I have been looking at riding that area of Texas but it is difficult to link that ride to any other ride because it is just so isolated. If you have more pics I would love to see them.
I love this area. Nobody is here.

You could get here in a day. I don't take many pics.

Google La Linda Mexico. Interesting history. Fun dead end road ride to get there.

Thanks. Probably the coolest thing I'll read today.

SO fun, farkling a new FJR! And changing generations gives me the excuse I need to get new goodies. I was able to move the highway pegs over, and yesterday I pulled the crappy little (single) horn and replaced it with the 500 MH PIAA sports horn I just put into the '05 a couple months ago. I'm thinking of pulling the other PIAA and connecting it in later. I had an older Auto Zone car horn I'd installed in the '05 before but replaced those two with the two PIAAs when one of them went out. The one car horn is certainly better than the two stock horns in the '05, and ANYTHING is better than the one stock horn in the '14.

And I just installed a like-new Givi 52 case with Admore light kit and an also-like-new Cortech tank bag with the lock ring, found here in the Forum. The last thing (well, maybe last

) is next week when I go out to Clearwater and get my new lights. I'm leaving the Kristas and Glendas on the '05 for sale. I found it hopelessly complex trying to disconnect them without completely frying my whole electrical system, and ruining the light harnesses and everything too. Got it all back together and working, so that's a big plus. I won't get much of anything out of them, selling the bike, but maybe it'll at least make the it more sellable. It'll go on Craigslist soon.

Installed my new dash shelf after several modifications to it and temporarily mounted the new radar detector on it...still waiting for the vibration dampening mount to arrive. I'm feeling too lazy for pictures today.

Finally got my new fuel pump, so I replaced the transfer pump today. Different size, so I had to modify the plumbing. At least the new pump is rated for higher gph, so my transfer rate should be better. I'll test it tomorrow.

Mounted the front and rear Canyon Cages today. Also re-installed a newer Neutrino Black Box unit after having to send the original back. Autocom installed too. Should be a busy weekend of farkling as I have boxes of stuff to install.....

I gave my Gen II a good cleaning and topped it off with a polish using one of my favorite bike polishes, Lemon Pledge. 😉

Mounted an antenna bar to my SR357 Givi trunk base. Hooked up 2 SAE connectors to my Neutrino. One for the automated operation of my heated vest and one for battery charging. Mounted my Garmin 660 on a RAM Bone mount. Started the install of a Yaesu FTM-10 HAM radio.

(Yesterday)

Mikep1300 and I rode about 125 miles in the back country. Just a nice relaxing "clear your head" kind of ride. Hardly exceeded 60 mph except for that one part. Oh, and there was that other part too.

Crap - I forgot about that other section back there....
