Buyer's remorse?Rode the 08 to work today. Why does it seam that the old bike just fits me so mutch better than the new one?
No, just not use to the new bike. I just feel more at home on the old one. Lots of memorys too. The new one does sit higher due to the increased spring rate in the rear. That and having the RDL on it brings the height up even more. Seems as though I lean forward more. The handlebars may not be set all the way back also. I need to take a look at that this weekend. I have all winter to slowly fine tune the G3 to get it where I it needs to be.Buyer's remorse?Rode the 08 to work today. I'm fairly certain that the ergonomic dimensions are the same, except the 3rd Gen footpegs are a slightly thicker rubber. Handlebars are the same, seat and frame is the same, so hands, feet, torso angles should be pretty much identical.
That is, of course, unless you've added some farkles or mods to the old 2nd Gen that aren't on the 3rd yet.
Just thought of one more thing: The old 2nd Gen A shock is softer sprung, and therefore will sag more than the 3rd Gen will. So the steering angles will be steeper, quicker and marginally less stable on the new bike.
