^^^ Hey Don, nice looking gravel road. The weenies that I ride with are always crying about gravel this and gravel that...what's up with that, eh?

60s over the weekend. 72 today. The frigid weather is rolling in with a cold front pushing us down into the low 40s for Thurs. and Fri. before rebounding back into the 60s. Brrr.

oh yeah... and no state income taxes.

That's why they are called weenies!

That looks like a great road to ride fast on (edit - not on the FJR).

Hello Mark and Fred, here is a video of what my buddy Chuck on his KTM 990 Adventure and Papa Chuy on his BMW F650GS Twin rode today. 85 miles of dirt and 125 miles of pavement for me! I will post a Ride Report at Southwest Section with still photos and Chuck's GOPRO video on Friday.

Rode out to Sheep Bridge Crossing over the Verde River, but water level was way too deep for a Winter crossing, we'll come back next Summer!

58 today, 29 Tuesday with 4-6" snow. N. VA and DC will be in a panic.

Put a new battery in the front wheel drive car so the wife can get home when they close at noon. ( Damn Intrepid, had to take the front wheel off)

T-Bird gets a little loose in the rear.

I agree. That's a tough place to commute. Damn, what a change from yesterday! Forecast just kept getting worse. Went from a max of 6" here in Delaware to a max of a foot. They don't know.

Just got around to watching this. Wow. Pretty entertaining. Love the Queensryche backgroud sounds. And those gravel roads look like the ****. Not sure why you guys kept slowing down at the corners. Gotta push the bike down a little and gas it to get a good slide goin', Yo!

I have no idea what caused your buddy to drop his KaTooM in that dinky little puddle. Was that some slippery clay **** there or what? I usuallty stand to get the weight down low on the crossings, and then usually don't pin the throttle on the exit. Maybe that's just a northeast thing?

Those roads look great, you have such open sight lines all of the time even on hairpins. When we ride in the dirt around here, even on really rural dirt roads, we seldom get more than a hundred feet look ahead. Still... Throttle steering is the way to go.

-15F without any windchillfreeze. I don't know how my Canucky friends do it? They must have a great sense of humor and of course good liquor.

My g/f's (Deb) 325i Beemer wouldn't start this am. (Man!, I'll never buy another BMW, evah! lol). So, I jumped her (car) only to find the battery of no use, so I guess I have to blame Interstate Battery Co. but probably not either, this kinda weather you just wanna blame something.

While trying to jump start her car, she brought me out a hot chocolate, I waited for about 5mins while I was hooking up and attempting to start her car. Friggen cup was slush! Crazy weather, you Canadians can keep it, go out and play in it with your sweeping brooms and heavy overblown hockey pucks. Fug that!

Ceeeya!

That'll be here tonight. Right now it's hovering around 0 degrees F, but tonight we go into the real deep freeze. We aren't supposed to see any highs near 32 again until Saturday.

The Canucks don't mind it as much 'cause they measure temps on that Celsius scale thingee, so they're almost always below zero!

Judging from the Canucks I've ridden with they don't have enough blood in their alcohol system to be affected by the cold.

-33 on the way to work this morning.

Their calling for snow on Friday, which means it's gonna warm up some.
