I cannot believe how bad the weather was here today. it was actually down to 65 and it RAINED! For a whole 4 MILES! Just terrible, such a balancing act between fast enough to get the water off the VStream and slow enough to maintain control. Just terrible.

Bite me! May the rain slow you down enough that you do not wish for a 6th gear. ;-)

Just got home and the temp was 4* F. And the F stands for FREAKING ridiculus. In a month we are supposed to be tearing it up in Arkansas.

Montana got seasonal for a day with a light snow and a high in the 20s, but it's supposed to be near 50 tomorrow and we'll be riding.

9 degrees and crystal clear in the middle of Oregon. The weather ***** says we might finally get some snow on Friday but it won't be much. we have gotten about 6 inches this year when it should be around 4 feet by now. The ski resorts here are hurting.

-12 and snowing with a strong west wind.

Funny, you know your from Northern Ontario when these kind of conditions actually feel warm and spring is on it's way.

8* F Wind chill -10 this morning.

Snowblowed (yeah, that's a new word) a path to the shed out back this past weekend, where we keep the Emergency Generator, just in case we lose power sometime soon. Noticed we have a little bit of snow up on the roof.

It probably would have been higher but the winds have been pretty strong a few times and scrubbed some of it off the top.

My generator is a manual start anyway, so don't need an auto transfer switch. I just have a manual transfer switch feeding a sub panel with just the loads I want on the emergency generator (boiler, well pump, refrigerator, some lights and outlets in the 1st floor).

It is one of these. I think I found it for around $100, but that was a few years back.

You guys crack me up, it's still Feburrrary and you are having winter. Gee, now there's a surprise

Sure glad I picked up more sunscreen, going to need it today with temps in the mid 60's and brilliant sunshine.

I'll be sure to post up this summer when we all turn to prunes this summer due to a lack of winter on the west coast.

So...you want 60 inches of snow Bug?
Yes, 60" or more of slow melting snow. Even knowing that Ca is in serious water deficit it was surprising to see how low the water is everywhere, they are beyond easy recovery. I'd love to send him some all of the ~120" of snow we got this winter.

Standing in for neighbor Doug (who lives 2 miles from me) to answer and accept all offers/threats to send us your east coast snow.

Damn, but we need it - both to ski on, and for water. Supposed to get an inch at the summit on Friday, which is ludicrous. We're getting mid to high 40s there (Sugar Bowl snow condition reports) during the day and low 20s overnight. But what is eerie is to go up 80 over the summit and see just how narrow the band of snow is on the ground again this year. The summit and not much below that. I live at 3,000 feet and will apparently not even be threatened with seeing any snowflakes this year.

PLEASE SEND US YOUR SNOW! (We'll even take your slow melting, high water content, heavy, frozen or slushy slop.)

Oh, Richie - 'twere it that easy...
Does it help you to know that I think of you virtually every time I shovel out my hot tub ? :p

THREE times today and it's still coming down. I'll have lots left to do when I get home from work at 23:30h

Thankfully, it's been feet and feet (and feet) of fluff or near-fluff. Easy to shovel but I'm throwing well over my head now. Lots of soft landing points if you take a tumble in the moguls ;)
