    What head light bulbs

Thanks for the link. I just ordered a pair. I hope they are a good upgrade. Seems like there are more and more animals out every morning.

    Road Star Warrior

I have one and love it. I saw no reason to get rid of it when I bought the FJR. They are very different bikes. I get about 43mpg on a highway trip with it. I am not sure how good of a touring bike it will make. I can carry much more with me on the FJR and the FJR is more comfortable for a passenger.

    Any legal beagels out there?

Well, I am not an expert but I would guess it would cost her more to go to court than to get it fixed. I wouldn't worry about it. I understand it is easy for me to say since i am not in your shoes.

    Clutch engaging

I took it in today. Seems as though the master cylinder is bad. The dealer also says that he questions what kind of fluid is in there. He is going to replace the master cylinder and replace the front and rear brake fluid as well as the clutch fluid. I hope to have it back by Friday.

Anyone here have the Yamaha FJR Comfort Seats??

I bought one. i like it but I only have maybe 1000 miles on it. The longest ride maybe 200 miles. Probably not a good report yet. I bought it for $281 from yamasportsplaza I think. It is a dealer in Seattle with a website.

    Clutch engaging

Hello, I just have about 1700 miles on my new FJR. I noticed yesterday that if I hold in the clutch, it will engage on it's own. I sat in my driveway and put it in 1st and held the clutch in. Eventually (maybe 10 seconds) I can ride away. I then tried it on the road at about 50mph. Same thing...

    Strange Bumps on Hands Only

I get those every year. I do not have them now but for me it is seasonal. Going to the Dr was a waste of time. I don't worry about them anymore.

    600 Mile Service

My dealer wanted 3 hours labor plus parts plus all of the time my bike would be in the shop. I can tell you that my wife and I did it all in an afternoon. I bought the shop manual ($90)and synchronizing tool for the tbs ($75) in addition to all of the normal stuff (oil and filter etc). Yeah...

    Final Drive Oil

Yes it is! I have really never heard of anyone honoring it. My 08 service manual and owner's manuals both specify a part number only. There are no substitutes. I called Yamaha USA and got an engineer (from the dealer's store). I asked her if the standard Yamaha shaft drive oil was a suitable...

    Final Drive Oil

Well, there are lots of parts number in the manual. The difference is that there is no other part to be used according to the documentation(or Yamaha). Nothing. No specs at all. All of the other things have equivalents. Yamaha says that part number only. It is also the law. Not that I think it...

    Final Drive Oil

I got mine from the yamaha dealer for free. Since the ownser's manual and the shop manual both specify a yamaha part number only (08 manual), they are required to provide if free of charge. Therefore, i am using the Yamaha oil. I can't imagine that you will have any problems with any quality...
