I use the First Gear pants worn over Basketball shorts. The Basketball shorts seem to make a huge difference on long rides.

Still working on this problem. I really appreciate all of the input so far, Thanks. I should clarify though. I only have the Zumo 550 and the headset only from the autocom. I'm not using the autocom unit. My goal is to be able to hear the XM radio in stereo and have good phone transmission...

Have the Zumo 550 with the Autocom hookup in the helmet only. When I use the blue tooth phone feature for calls, the reception is good but my transmit sounds bad to the person on the phone end. I have verified that my phone is working normal already too. How has your transmit been when...

Glad the FJR scored higher then the others but they should focus on the road ahead. Wish they would do an article on all of the common upgrades specific to each bike based on Forum information. That would tell us what the condition of the bikes were compared to their relative problems seen by...

Race Tech installed my Ohlins springs for me. No problems so far. I gave them my stock '05 spring so they could make an exact match to it for future customers. I'm sure they have come out with their own spring rates by now. Call them first. Then let me know too.

I've already had my smash up derby on the ol' Kawi GPZ750. Rear-end style collision while minding my own business stopped for a traffic light. Maybe thats where my caution and alertness comes from on every ride. I guess that would be YES then for me.

Red DUC 1098 has to be one of the best looking bikes out there. Wish Momma Yama would paint a FJR that color. :dribble:

The main reason that so many FJR's are for sale is because their wives wont let them out to ride :blink: The ones with FJR's also have the wives who cant wait to see us go. :rolleyes: So Party on!!

My '05 is great this time of year also. I was glad to have it last ride, 41degrees thru the Mountains at 5am. Great cool day bike.

The closer to the battery, the better. IMHO It would be a good temporary install though. At least you could see how much you are drawing, even though the actual level may not be accurate.
