I recall the first time I was hurt, a broken back. The injury was bad enough, but worse was all the shit to go through to get better. Being the first major injury, I didn't have reference points to evaluate injury magnitude or recovery time. It scared me.

Since then, well, a broken femur, torn Achilles, 8 ribs, multiple shoulder dislocations, broken foot, kidney surgery, knee surgery.

Jeezus, and you told me I had bad luck!

Well crap. Just reading about this. When I meet Don in 2007, he mentioned that he had about 750,000 confirmed motorcycle miles (a BMW club thing). My guess is that he now has over 1M. To have that many miles and no scars was too good to be true. Glad it was fixable. Hope you hit 2M motorcycle miles.

Now that they're caring for me it's really bringing me down, I so want to be taking them on outings, dinners and doing things for them!

Don't worry about it, you've put in your time now don't stress that they have to do a little for you for a while, before you know it you will be back to doing for them....in the mean time, rest in the assurance that at least you aren't as ugly as that RadioHowie guy.
