As I type this, I am sitting at the kawi dealer in kingman getting my new shoes installed. Heavy rain and 40mph winds... gonna be a fun ride home on virgin pilot road 2's.

Toecutter and I leave mananna, meeting in Bakersfield 11:30 AM, arriving Longstreet approx 6 - 7 pm. Our only possible route at this time is 58E over Tehachapi. 5 and 178 are snowed in, chains & 4wd required. We're taking the southern, most safe route, cause were both chicken and smart.

I'll be spotting here <clicky> should anyone want to ride along. The password is Death Valley

There's a brand new BMW R1200GS in my driveway right now, our DingusKhan - Dirk Keeler, just rode in from Deming, New Mexico; hitting 50 mph cross winds the entire way. He is staying up in North Mesa at his brothers and will meet us tomorrow at TCB!

Dave is packing the gift bottle of Bushmills he brought for me from Blighty in his tank bag on Lucy Liu. In Rena's saddlebag is a bottle of Bailey's on Ingrid.

In my saddlebag on Ingrid is a bottle of Jameson Irish. And in Ingrid's tank bag is bottle of Knockeen Hills Poteen that Orestes brought from Waterford, Eire.

Nick, I don't mean to interrupt, but I saw johnny80s isn't currently on our FJR Forum. Juan is already in Las Vegas, not currently in LA or San Diego County.

I know your Dad-Tucson Joe, and Victory Peggy, are already at the Super 8 Motel in Litchfield Park, AZ. We will see you tomorrow at Longstreet Inn/Casino.

I"m not sure my ETA at Longstreet, perhaps tomorrow night, may hold off until Saturday

.....looks very probable I'll be staying Sunday in Vegas where I'll show Fairlaner how to remodel this town.

We spent the vast majority of the day inside, just like all you folks, we saw some rain. -went to the shark exhibit and cruised around a bit. Tonight Kathy and I will remodel downtown.

Did have a little snack that was pretty yummy:

Terri and I are at the stratosphere.

Got snowed on going over Tehachapi and Mt Pass.

Terri was sleeping and woke up with snow all around us.

Passed a jeep towing a trailer a couple times, it had Oregon plates.

Would have smiled and waved but I couldn't turn my head with all the clothes I had on. :blink:

Heading down for some dinner and drinks.

S'funny... that particular trip we had 5 days of sunny skies pretty much the whole trip except for 2 exciting hours leaving DV with rain, flash floods, rock slides, and snow... guess what we all talk about?? :lol:
