Love my grip puppies...
Love mine...put `em on right over existing grips about a month after getting my FJR.Don't remember the size, but CalSci will tell ya which to get.
The effect I think is 2-fold: 1) foam padding to dampen vibration, and 2) increased grip diameter so your hand isn't as clamped down as it would be around the smaller diameter grip.
Get a set, as others have said they're cheap!!
I'm looking for something to ease the rigor mortis in my hands that occurs after an hour or so of riding the Feej. Some here have stated Grip Puppies are the cat's meow. I'm interested in hearing what others have experienced. And what size fits the OEM grips? Who has 'em cheap? Etc.
And would you recommend something else?
I would recommend the cramp buster. Place it at the outside edge of the throttle and it helps relieve the pressure of gripping the throttle.

I've used grip puppies before, but they don't do as good of a job as these. Got them at Cycle Qweer for around $6.00. I like the contour shape, and they mold to my hands.
The Contour Grips are solo grips, you don't slip 'em over the stock ones. So there not bulky, yet do the job of absorbing the vibes.
I have had my set of grip puppies for a year now and they are still going strong. How do you kill yours so fast?Grip Puppies are awesome. They only last a cpl of months, so order extras.
They work well. You have to turn them up higher.Has anybody used grip puppies with heated grips? Just curious if/how they worked with heated grips?
Different geometries, different physical responses, different bike characteristics and riding styles, yet a net positive result tend to tell me it's worth a look. They're cheap...almost dirt cheap, so I'll give 'em a try. I'll pay 10 bucks to test whether or not I have to shake my throttle hand loose every 10-15 minutes after an hour of riding. And if it doesn't work, well we'll keep working the problem because there IS a solution out there somewhere. Life CAN be better than it is currently. This is as subjective as discussing oil and tires. I've used Grip Puppies several different times and have always removed them after a short period of time.
I believe that doing a throttle body sync and not keeping a death grip on the bars will work as well as anything.
My grip puppies always start to wear out at the point where the heel of my hand touches the grip.I have had my set of grip puppies for a year now and they are still going strong. How do you kill yours so fast?Grip Puppies are awesome. They only last a cpl of months, so order extras.
