So, you traded the FJR and Vulcan for the Interceptor???

Read slowly and completely, Breadman, I traded the Vulcan for the Interceptor, the FJR they'll have to pry out of my cold dead hands. I love that Bike. :yahoo:

wish I had made sure my gloves worked before heading into work today. Nice to know gerbing will send me the part I needed express. The gloves plug into the jacket. Why should you need another part? Its going to be a cold ride home tonight!

Not only did I ride TO work today, but I will put on a total of 213 miles by the time I get back home. It was 12 degrees warmer down by Lake Michigan than it is out here at my office.

27 degrees and clear this morning...nice. Now it's sunny...SHIT, should have taken a 1/2 day. Work is really cutting into my riding time

21 here this AM, our great state sprayed/applied some type of anti-icing along I-80 sometime last night, I found all of the secondary roads were clear & dry while I-80 had a very heavy layer of frost in both lanes, I managed to stay in the tire tracks but I was "Puckered" too say the least. :eek:mg2:

Woke up this morning, took a look outside to see what was left after our little ice strom yesterday, WTF it's over 50 degrees at like 8 AM. I'm outta here. Got in a couple of good hours on the bike, some drizzle, some sprinkles, But the weather channel didn't say any thing about that thunder storm with the huge bolts of lighting. thats when I came home and parked it. :dribble:

We've still got a fair amount of that ice storm still coating our streets. But I did the commute (17 highway miles) several times these last couple of weeks in 27°F and 30°F morning temps. I love the looks on my co-worker's faces when I pull in on days like that!

Of course I did just miss looking like a fool the day before Thanksgiving. Forecast was for snow to the S and E, I was about 2 minutes from climbing on the bike, then decided the truck was a better choice. Driving home in 4 inches of snow confirmed that decision!

I just fitted chains to my Diablos. Worked pretty good until I got too heavy into a corner and went off the road and bottomed out trying to leap the ditch. Yamaha needs to provide a little more clearance for the snow chains in the gen 3 design.

I generally park the bike all winter. Not due to the cold...heated gear and the right clothing can ward off the cold.

It's all the salt, brine, sand, and crapola all over the roads! Not to mention black ice, which there is a lot of in shady areas. Accident waiting to happen. Heck, I often feel my All wheel drive SUV slide around curves. Just not worth it to me on a bike.

Since we can't ride and my current employer decided to first open the office and then close it. I have decided to spend new time with my kid outside. here is what we did today.

OK................... The eyes on that snowman are just creepy.
Yeah, they were given to us by our neighbor across the street who is in her mid 20th and a school math teacher, I would have loved to have a teacher like that when I was in school. They are lime and I have used 3 inch nails to nail them.

I could not refuse the gesture and my kid absolutely loved this Martian.
