Jer, us locals all bring a few tools and our host helps out too. There are usually a couple of carb tunes around. If you bring a few basic's you will be fine.

Count me in unless it rains. I only ride in the rain when caught out on a long trip and that has happened many times. I have never done a TBS on either of my FJR's, maybe this is the time. Someone should let me know what tools I should bring with me.
we have all the tools needed here. a small travel socket set would help so you don't have to share on that.

Would it be possible to make the valves check/adjustment during the meeting? I'm not sure there will be enough time to cool everything down...
This is a pretty long, intensive process that is pretty involved. There are a few of us floating around who can host you on another Saturday to complete this project, but it's entirely possible that you'll run out of time during a tech day.

I guess I may as well change the plugs while in there. I will bring a set and plan on using OP tools.
We've got you covered Jer. I also bring most tools needed for the run of the mill stuff encountered at Tech Days.

Looking forward to catching up.

Yea, I wrote the post as I read its a tricky thing. Than I started to read the procedure and I figured out it's not really something to be done on a meeting like this. I'd love to make the TBS plus consult a doubt I have about one of the spark plug coils. That plus talking should make the day!

I saw a red FJR parked at the East Side Operations building where I work. Wonder who that could be?

Just got my PR4GT and will definitely be doing my rear tire as I had hoped. The original T23's have held up OK for 9,000 now, but the center flat spot is starting to be noticeable on rides. For fun I will pull my air filter too as I haven't don't that yet. Looking forward to seeing everyone and the great variety of modified bikes.

The list is up to date.
