Folks at work are getting adjusted to a necktie and dress slacks emerging from the Big Banana hi-vis suit. Every now and then I forget the dress shoes; moto-boots clash terribly, especially the white ones.

Don't need studded tires since the rider is plenty stud enough.

Do you need me to hold your can of beer for ya?

Finally got some time to work on it again. Swapped out two exhaust and three intake shims. Only one of each were actually out of spec, but since I was there, might as well get the others closer to the middle. I also replaced the cct and installed my newly overhauled Ohlins shock.

Tomorrow I'll make a few wiring changes, then all that's left is putting it all back together.

That's full frontal nudity. We might have to make the thread **** if you keep this up.

Also a good illustration of why the timing marks are so hard to see in the frame. Makes me wish for transparent aluminum.

Yes indeed. I found I can line up the mark on the intake sprocket pretty easy, but the exhaust is more challenging. Since the headers and radiator are removed, it was pretty easy to pop that side of the plastic baffle loose and get a pretty good shot at the exhaust sprocket mark from the front. That's all just for verification anyway though. I ensure the chain can't sag off the bottom of the crank sprocket, make some witness marks on the chain and sprockets with a sharpie and only remove one cam at a time, keeping the other side zip tied together. Easy Peasy.

@Hud- I've worn business casual or suits on the bike for years underneath gear. Had a flat on GA400 at 4:30am in a suit once... But it was flannel lined jeans today riding through Blue Ridge GA, Cherokee National Forest, Tellico Plains TN. All were in the 30's. All were great riding. A fire and a double espresso with a splash of Lynchburg's finest are never better than after a long ride in cold weather.

Yesterday was the first day of Winter, so I rode a SaddleSore from Pasadena to Tucson, then Yuma, Quartzsite, and back home - 1029 miles in a little less than 17 hours. It was cold all day, but it only rained lightly the last 90 miles. It was fun!

Rode it to work. And will continue doing that for the next 10 days.

(My sister and BIL are in town for the holidays and need a car. With this nice late December weather, I can ride. So I told them to forget about renting, save some money and use my car.)

With the lousiest weather for Christmas week ever (too warm and lots of rain for several days) set in,,, I covered her (under carport) with my Official genuine custom made for my (and only my) Yamaha deluxe cover.

Have you ever had a cat pee on your motorcycle cover? If you remember that smell...

On a completely unrelated subject, where exactly do you live?

I believe there are a family of raccoons that live in my neighborhood. They keep the cat thing under control. And you would be most welcome in my humble home,,, and seeing how I'm an animal lover,, you could bring your dog,,,a hairy backed walrus,, hell, bring your killer whale.... But you'll have to be catless to come here.

I just wanna sneak over in the dark of night and pee on that special cover that you refuse to loan to me..

And I could not bring Mrs. Redfish with me. First, she will not fit on the FJR, not without serious modifications to the seat, frame and suspension. Second, she cannot fit through ordinary doors to get into the house.

It doesn't matter what anyone did with their FJR today.

Don Stanley has left the building.

It is a sad time.
I may be out of likes, but I'm not sure a more true statement has been made in a long time. Just Sayin' Nuff' Said.
Also out of likes...this place just ain't gonna be the same
