Placed an order with Jake Wilson for a few shims (they came in a day!), so I put together this "kit" this morning. I'll start bringing it to tech days and have it when I work on my buddies' bikes.

Hang in there Don. At least your bike is going to a good man, DCarver is one of the best. I am looking forward to a positive result from your surgery. Then you can buy one of the 2016 FJRs and you can brag to us all about the new 6 speed transmission.
Right you are Redfish Hunter, Donnie Boy Carver is a Great Guy; when I was in the hospital and in a wheelchair he was always checking in on me, so was AJ!

The sad part is now that pristine machine has been sentenced to the hell of bouncing up and down the goat path to the Hondarosa. Maybe when Don builds a new building for all his moto toys he will pave the road.

You know the craziest thing FJRay: After I waxed 'Naomie', I put the wax cleaner in a saddlebag for him and gave him a new bike cover. I should have given them to wheatonFJR and Niehart, at least Mark and Dave would have used those two items! JSNS, muy Estupido ese!

Rode it in twisties in the 50s, and played a little Tag from the ADV forum. I stopped at the Edgar Thompson Plant for a picture, and had to bump start on a hill. Looks like that cheapo battery is going to go. Hope yinz had a nice day too.

You're really going to **** when he pulls the engine to keep his 06 going....

Bejaysus Russ, a Pox on ye! I never thought of it until now, knowing Don Boy you could be right. I'll call him right now, to talk him out of it! JSNS, aye!

PS: Now I'm worried, he drinks with BikerGeek99 - Andy M. so anything is possible!

I went for a ride through the local twisties and used the whole tire edge to edge. There are more sparks without the aftermarket shock. I will get the freshly serviced Penske put back on this week and put in the new springs and fork oil.

FWIW, there is no way I should be able to take the twisties at speed at this time of year without concern for sand, salt or ice. This is fantastic! Almost reminds me of California...where it's raining and snowing this year. Bravo El Nino!

I moved the battery tender from the FJR to the Sears Craftsman lawn tractor with the snow plow on it.

Still riding old yeller to work as well. Kinda wishing the snow would fall again so I can put her away for the winter. Got a long list of stuff to do to her this off season.
