Bill - the 215s sound pretty good - especially at their price point. The "over the ear" routing on the cords keeps the insert firmly planted in my ear. ZERO wind noise - especially when the tips are fresh. I like 'em a lot.

 
I recently added Canyon Cages, but I had to take off my highway pegs to do it. I really missed having them on the ride up to LaPine for the Reuben Run. The mounting brackets for the cage bars came today, so I just got them installed. The cage has less clearance on the left side of the engine, so the bracket couldn't rotate on the bar; the peg would have been swept back like an F-14 wing. I ended up grinding down the round screw head that was keeping the bracket from rotating around the cage bar. The 3-piece design is how they can be mounted on the bar, of course, since they don't bend open. Geez, I hate to monkey with brand new parts like that, but I really wanted the pegs working again. Looks like it'll function just fine though.

Not too happy paying for these logos again at nearly $16.00 a piece.
Where are you getting them from? Most guys have been paying about $8 each.
My good old home town dealer who I have purchased several new bikes from in the last few years. My normal parts guy who usually helps me out with a pretty good discount was busy and I got shuffled over to a new guy. I seen prices for emblems in the $8.00 range but most wanted around $6.00 shipping so I didn't think and I ordered the emblems with out asking how much.
Just an FYI... the Yamaha list price on those emblems is only ~ $12. If they charged you 30% more than list for over-the-counter parts they are stealing from you.

 
Yesterday replaced the burnt out right side headlight bulb that died at EOM.

Today rode it to work which incidentally makes 127 days of consecutive riding for me.

Yeah seriously, 127 days in a row of 10 miles or more. Started keeping track for the first time this year to see just how many days I ride. I actually know a guy, BMW owner primarily, who has tracked his riding for many years. He can document more than 6,000 consecutive days of 10 miles or more regardless of weather. Blaine keeps extensive records and a log book for each year recording start and finish mileage and what bike. When he retired his wife wanted to go to Hawaii and he agreed under the condition they'd rent a bike instead of a car!

He keeps an old raggedy dual sport with studded knobbies for snow and ice and has been known to go out at odd hours following the plow trucks if that's what it takes! PA resident too, not a fair weather year round state.

 
I'm sure your Beemer buddy knows about the 2 wheel drive Urinal sidecar rigs, right? They are all the rage with the winter ADV riders up this way

I had hoped to meet you as well! Maybe next year? Or possibly I can talk Mona into attending NERDS? I think for a while Blaine may have owned one of those. I know he's owned a multitude of brands through the years and test ridden more than that. Dealership I once worked for sponsored him road-racing on a Triumph T-595 Daytona for a couple seasons.

 
The yanquis may curse me, but today I rode with a vented jacket. First day it's been cool enough for me to switch to a jacket (vents open) from my mesh. Just early in the morning. Too hot for much of anything in the afternoon.

 
I'm gonna at least commute on it today. Another inch of rain yesterday, this ****'s gettin' old. Not any prolonged flooding like down the Gulf way but temporary over-running of banks is becoming common. I think my yard has been placed on the state's list for proposed protected wetland designation.

 
Put on a new front T30 in preparation for the Hooterville trip.

The rear has 1200 EOM miles on it, so let's hope it lasts through Hooterville and back home again!

 
Cleaned mine....2650 EOM miles on mine and should make it through Hooterville and back..

Changed the oil, filter, FD juice, and washed it. Then rode it to a retro and aspiring-hipster bike/car show. Good to be back riding.

Did a TBS on it today. Bike was already running great, but it did seem to level out the idle a bit.
