    How about some comfort advice

I installed Helirisers on my 05 back in 07 and it made quite a difference. They are offset but on the second day of a long ride I still get the bee sting between the shoulder blades. Went to a Russel seat and that made a big difference in comfort since the 05 seat is a beast to ride.

    Studded Knobbies for the FJR?

Yeah-- I had the same problem living north of the border so I took a pair of my old avons and drilled them every three inches with a one sixteenth bit . Place a stopper on the bit so that its doesn't penetrated the tire carcass. Screw in three quarter inch stainless round head phillips screws ...

    oe top box

I found that with the oem , the box pushed the passenger too far forward on the rear seat and with the back rest it was an unrideable position. She is not a big woman being only 120 lbs. We went to the Givi top box. Perfect color match and only about 350 bucks, plus the mounting hardware. I...

    Dealings with Sargent Seats

I wouldn't deal with Sargent again. Ordered the seat with the back rest--- we could't stay on the seat for more than 30 minutes and had to turn around. Called Sargent to let them know and suggested I send it back------ they wouldn't accept it. I suppose the time element had lapsed by the...

Best Helmet to Helmet Comms gear ??????

Forget the Chatterbox, J M etc and save your bucks. My wife and I have been using the Riderlink ST-1 from Motocom. We have used the previous product from Motocom also for a few years. It provides hardwire rider to Pass communication, great helmet speakers, two sets of microphones ( for full...

NAFO web site - Registration Open Until July 20th

<_< What is the room situation now regarding vacancy for the week end. Would like to make the trip from East of Toronto but don't want to do the registration thing if I have to ride from my room in Chicago each morning. Suppose I could raft six air matresses up in the pool and pitch a...

FJr The perfect bike for 30 - 60 degree riding

Yeah the bike sounds o.k. as long as you don't install a Sargent seat. If you do that , you won't have to worry about the hot grips, windshield etc since your butt will not permit you to sit on the damn thing long enough for the rest of the equipment to make a difference. Enjoy---
