You got that right Drew, I've put quite a few headsets in Shoei helmets, the 1000 certainly took the most "trimming" of all I've done.

They aren't. But, the diff plugs are, and as I used to understand it, they are interchangeable with the oil drain. The torque spec is crap, and although only a guess, I'm betting the drain plug was installed in the pan dry, long before the engine was assembled, and therefore, it's mighty tight...

I'm also using the Techmount with my 2720. I also recently added the Powerlet plug on the left hand side right behind the heated grip control and got the 12" powercord. Nice and sanitary.

My '03 was a ticker and I sold it that way. My '04 was also a ticker and was repaired and is still running strong 20,000 miles later. My '06 still sounds like the day I took delivery. Quiet.
