Certifiable Old Fart
Keep your chin up OM, may still find a way to work Eire into this. Went for a brief AM ride to clear my head and am giving consideration to there being an England and Scotland segment, followed by somewhat separate Republic/Ulster segment....As far as going over to Ireland I really have no interest in that,...
Geez, that is not an insignificant change, boys. It is, in fact, ...a gamechanger.... I do see this being pared down to England and Scotland, which suits me fine ...
I understand the difficulties Don, and thank you for doing the legwork.
Lots more planning needs to be done, but gambit was always to rent bikes out of Raceways in London. May look at that still being the case for England and Scotland for seven riding days. Then we Micks and Paddies could leave the rotten Brit ******s on their sullen little island and the Hibernians could have a second segment that would start again for four days in Belfast.
From day 1 I've tried to plan this trip to be under $5K USD, so as many of our fine FJR Forum Friends could attend as possible.
Under $5K USD goal can still be achieved if the FJR Forum British Isles Tour can be broken down into two separate segments, depending on the individual riders wishes. For example, using yourself: If you had no desire to tour that soggy John Bull Rock, you could meet me in Ulster on the morning of the ninth day: We would pick up our machines from Irish Bike and be on our way. As you know, it is only a two hour train ride between Belfast City Hall Train Station and O'Connell Station in Dublin. We would party and sightsee in Dublin; Drogheda flight home! Oh and Old Michael, I do need a favor of ye! If SkooterG jumps in again blasting us for diverting OUR Thread; would you kindly kneecap him or car bomb him: Irish Style! Slainte, BeemerDonS
