...Hope to have wheels in motion by 7:15ish (+/-) reno time this morning
John, make a little detour and pop over the hill and down here. We can do a couple of

breakfast shots, ...to prep you for the trip south.

(And now that I've squeezed into this Speedo -with the help of a shoehorn and some K-Y  - I don't

want my effort to have been wasted, ...you being an accomplished pole-gazer and all.)

:D

Safe travels, John.

My Fellow Arizonans: I have made the command decision that we are going to take the lower elevations desert floor route up to Amargosa Valley; I-10 to 95.
GalaxyBlue, Big-D and marcusorelius: Too complicated to attempt a rendezvous, so we just hope to see you somewhere out on Nevada Route 95 on Friday.

From the Cracker Barrel Restaurant on I-10 to Needles, California is 3.5 hours and 230 miles. So, we will be heading north on NV-95 at approximately 1100.

I will have my cell phone with me, but I usually can't hear it ringing on the bike; but I will check it out at all stops: 480-440-4666. Keep me posted as to your location.

Great decision El Capitain! The Ride is on! Welcome Stateside Dave (Orestes), if Phoenix looks as perfect this morning as Havasu currently does, your ride today couldn't be any better. Not a cloud in the sky anywhere.

The Eagle has landed. FJR Forum Member Dave "Orestes" Clarke has arrived in Arizona from England; is now at Casa del Stanley. We're going M/C riding today!
And I arrive to TVreports of snow, rain, floods and school closures. Just like being at home!!! Looking forward to the weekend and meeting lots of new friends

I was planning to go through Parker, Amboy, Kelso then up Badwater. On the way home I will take Valley of Fire, Lake Mean and maybe stay In Vegas or Laughlin and home Monday. If anyone wants to tag along. Will see you all Friday night at casino if not.
https://www.shadyladyranch.com/girls.html These Firefighters crack me up, everything Henry wrote above is just "code talking" for saying he is going to the Shady Lady Ranch Brothel north of Beatty, Nevada. Enrique, say hi to Robin and Veronica for me! Ask Bobbi for the special!

Don... At your age I would think the Special for the Day would be "meat loaf" :clapping:

the clouds are here and heading your way..

I know, I've been watching the weather radar and the news showing all of the mudslides CA is experiencing. But at least today sure looks good (as a huge shadow looms over-head caused by a big black cloud)!

Oh well, I figure if I hit the road early on Friday, I'll be at the Longstreet Inn before noon, beating the rain. At least it sounds good! This storm you are getting now is supposed to be the "big one".

Mother, Mary of God! Richard and Dan, if you two jackasses don't stop grousing about the weather I am going to go crazier than I already am. Puta la Maji!

In immortal and famous words of our esteemed RenoJohn: "Get on the damn bike and it will be alright!" Still not a single freaking BMW rider has backed out!

I am in Oxnard, And just got passed by Noah and his Ark!

So that's where Noah went.

This month we have already exceeded our average rainfall accumulations and it's only the 20th.

We have our cyclical "Pineapple Express" phenom happening right now. 97% humidity, tons of rain, but I'll be damned if there ain't a bunch of 49cc and electric scooters out in the 40kph winds and driving rain.

Maybe they want to go to DVD???

Hey BeemerDonnie - it's really wet outside, this weather is something, huh?

Boy, you sure know how to plan a ride - biggest storm in the last 475 years and all.

ps - I sure am glad I own an FJR so I can bow out gracefully!

Well Chris (eeksnake) and I are still going to make the Saturday ride!!! I dont remember seeing a "kickstands up" time for Satruday. Anyone know yet?

See all you non-kitty's on Saturday!! :yahoo:

Why would anyone pass up a chance to see Noah and his ark?
