I finished the Saddle Sore route today. Yowza this is one sweet-ass ride.

I edited the original post to reflect the change of abandoning the BBG. A BBG on slab and in the east is possible, but a fun route through the mountains would mean exceeding the posted speed limit by a goodly amount ALL DAY. So I'm skipping this option.

I guarantee that NO BODY will be disappointed with this 1K day. When you finish that beer is gonna taste SO good.<G>

And start saving your money for plastic surgery after the ride. That smile of yours is going to be plastered and pretty much permanent.

Since the weather sucks, and I have nothing to occupy my mind (I am at work, but that doesn't interfere with thinking about riding too much) I was wondering how many of the "Players" for this ride will have auxiliary fuel cells? Also, from what I have read on other ride reports it looks like auxiliary lights are a must, but I would appreciate people's input.

The list for this ride is getting longer by the second. Polaroid, Towels, Lights, and maybe a fuel cell. Holly crap I need to start putting the pennies away.

You do NOT need a fuel cell for this ride. Gas will be plentiful.

And while aux lights are nice, you won't need those either.

If you spend money on anything, spend it on gas and/ or a track day.<G>
