It's possible but no promises. I have the ball & chain (pager) this week. On call sucks.
Well, you know where we'll be and approximately where we'll be headed. So far the basic course is only 90 miles or so with about 100 options if people want to keep riding. The point being, we'll never be "really far" if you get a call....unless you must be at home.

If nothing else, come and join us for breakfast and the first part of the ride and turn for home.

Gee, you almost make me feel badly about the day I turned my pager back to the company. Heh-heh-heh-heh.

If my bike had more than one wheel on the ground I would try to make it. Keep posting the rides so I know when the next one is. I might have to trailer past the snow but thats OK. :)

I wished I lived in Nor Cal. Nobody from SoCal wants to ride together. No, it's not just me- HONEST. Maybe it is??? Well, anyways have fun. I have heard on STN that NOR CAL people even get together for rides THEN BBQ's. Never happen down here.
Come up the day before. You can stay the night at my place and we'll BBQ Norcal style. Might as well, the party is at my house that night anyway :yahoo:

OV,

Very nice of you. I appreciate your hospitality and I am very tempted. Unfortunately, my wife's three sisters are in town. Yeah, I know- sucks to be me. The price I have to pay for haveing such a cool, beautiful wife that loves to ride 2 up and has taken the MSF.

All you SoCal people take note of genuine NorCal class!!

<major snip>.........genuine NorCal class!!
Class? It may well be that we just like people in general (Well, Andrew does, fer shure.) and one another in particular. ;)

I'm just trying to figure out how to strap a barbecue on the back of the Feejer for the Spring ride......

My topcase is kind of shaped like a BBQ. Maybe if I line the inside with 2 or 3 layers of foil it'll work :D

Does anyone on this ride have a radio? I have a Kenwood radio that I could try to get hooked up by the ride if anyone else has one.

I'm sure it will work, charcoal burns at about only 2000 degrees :D Because of the heat issue's with the FJR I'am sure that Yamaha only uses plastic with high melting temps

Weekend Rider: Repeat after me . . . Brookfields . . . .Brookfields . . . Brookfields at 0845. See ya there.
It'll be the restaurant with all the FJRs parked in front.

Does anyone on this ride have a radio? I have a Kenwood radio that I could try to get hooked up by the ride if anyone else has one.
I have one, powered through my autocom. I s'pose I could bring it along. I haven't had it hooked up for about 6 months or so but it should still work.

Hey All,

This sounds like the perfect opportunity to see if group rides can be added to the ways I already enjoy this bike. See you at Brookfields at 0845.

So how many for breakfast at this point?
Well, as is usual for me (Okay, everybody has to get used to Mike's way of taking care of business--anal though it may be), I've been updating the rider list (the first post) and the Breakfast List (Under that post on the first page), I'd have to go look but I'd guess 14-15. ;)

Edited:Post #8 on this thread, "Breakfast @ 0845"......17 that I can count (Where ever a handle ends in "s" there are usually 2 people). :D

Change of plans and I can get away for the day! :yahoo:

Make that one more for breakfast, and I look forward to joining you folks for this New Year's Day ridel! :D

Okay, Sam, I'll put you on the list.

BTW, everyone, I'm going to go ride part of 193 and Salmon Falls Rd. after church today. It can be "shady" in the twisty parts of the canyon and I want to make sure its not too slimy in there. That's the place O'vale, Bluestreek and I were sliding around a bit last year. I don't think that'd be a good idea for tomorrow. And I want to make sure that a couple of places will be open for a planned rest stop. Then I'll finalize the planned route.

You do realize this is going to be a rather SHORT ride compared to most. More of an excuse to get together and to say that we DID get out and ride on New Years. I'd like for most of you to get home before Oh-dark-thirty and be home to get rested for the work-day on Monday (Doh!) er, uhm, Tuesday.
