Mike, thanks for organizing such a great ride! :clapping: It was a real treat to, for the first time, to meet some of the folks behind the curtain of the Forum. I look forward to future rides with the Sacramento Gang!

Best,

Jb

P.S. It was a slog getting back to the Bay Area on 80 West. Not only was the sun in my face the whole time (gotta love that helmet sun strip), but about as far as Vacaville traffic was almost at a standstill. My commute skills came in handy. But, home safe and sound. Had a beer and watched the last quarter of the Rose Bowl. Does life get any better?

:yahoo: Deb & I are glad we could make this one.

Beautiful riding weather -- great ride -- good to see the "usual" faces and good to meet new ones.

Big thanks to Mike for the organizing, thanks to Rick & Karen for setting up the restaurant (and cookies, yum), and just thanks to you all who made it such an enjoyable experience for us :)

Oh!! ---------- SUPERB ROADS !!

Andrew, Sherri -- we missed ya both.

Sorry to miss the gang. It seems like everyone I usually miss on rides was there and there were a lot of new faces to meet and attach to forum names. Bummer!!!

I got out of the house later that day and cruised up to El Dorado Blvd/Latrobe on 50 to go check out Salmon Falls. I figured I might run into someone. I saw an '06 (I'm pretty sure it wasn't an '05) A model turning left to go West on 50. I waved, but am not sure he saw me. One of the day's riders?

What time would that have been? Maybe one of the early departees from Starbucks in Eldorado.

Thanks to all for a great gathering. Rick, doesn't Karen want to learn to ride? That way if you're laid up the delicious cookies can still be available. Great meeting and riding with new folks. Sorry to cut out early but Christy and I felt like getting a little boogie on on the way home.

For those that missed the ride I thought I heard Mike command that your names be stricken from all written matter and never spoken aloud again :dribble:

But since he's just

Just a big, hopelessly romantic, teddy bear
his leniency allows those un-named to show up next time with repaired camera in hand ;)

oh darn! I knew I should have investigated where that bike came from! I left my house at 2:38 so I was probably at that exit at around 3:00

Well, if I have to be banished from the NorCal FJR rides then my daughter is in a LOT more trouble than she already knows about!!! <_<

+1 to most of the above (I'll reserve "teddy bear" comments for later). Great day for a ride, good people to ride and yack with. Thanks for setting the tone, Mike - made my first group experience one I'll gladly repeat despite my antisocial tendencies. NICE TO MEET YOU ALL.

Patrick

Anneasy way to sum that day: super day, super people, super ride and super fun. oh I almost forgo and a

SUPER SIZED TEDDY BEAR (mad mike in person) that the ladys want to hug he he he

great job to all that made it happen weekend rider

I would like to throw out this question, and than maybe have an unofficial vote so we can get an idea if we need to move forward.

The question is should we change mad mikes name from,"mad mike to TEDDY BEAR?

ANY ideas out there// thanks

Illness in the family caused me to miss this ride. The illness was MINE! One of these days I will be well AND not working. Right now getting well is the challenge. Sorry I missed you guys.

My best guess would be James Burleigh.

Not to worry, my friend. We are waaaaayyyy more into enjoying one another. I figures your cuties of hosting and then "intensly celebrating" New Years kept you from our early morning rendezvous. We thought about you for...oh...a minute or two, then went riding for you. :yahoo:

It could of been me . I did see another FJR as I was getting on 50 at about 3:00

Sorry, Steve. I forgot you were heading home that way. I'll bet you are correct and it was you.

Not waving...that'll teach Andrew to show up. Neener-neener-neener!

Well I came off the exit and you? were at a red light waiting to go down under the bridge. I button hooked around and went under the bridge in front of you. Oh well...
