P.S. It was a slog getting back to the Bay Area on 80 West. Not only was the sun in my face the whole time (gotta love that helmet sun strip), but about as far as Vacaville traffic was almost at a standstill. My commute skills came in handy. But, home safe and sound. Had a beer and watched the last quarter of the Rose Bowl. Does life get any better?

Sorry to miss the gang. It seems like everyone I usually miss on rides was there and there were a lot of new faces to meet and attach to forum names. Bummer!!!

I got out of the house later that day and cruised up to El Dorado Blvd/Latrobe on 50 to go check out Salmon Falls. I figured I might run into someone. I saw an '06 (I'm pretty sure it wasn't an '05) A model turning left to go West on 50. I waved, but am not sure he saw me. One of the day's riders?

Thanks to all for a great gathering. Rick, doesn't Karen want to learn to ride? That way if you're laid up the delicious cookies can still be available. Great meeting and riding with new folks. Sorry to cut out early but Christy and I felt like getting a little boogie on on the way home.

oh darn! I knew I should have investigated where that bike came from! I left my house at 2:38 so I was probably at that exit at around 3:00
