Well, in that your plans kept from joining in on Dam Tour this year, I thought I'd send this Google link along just in case....... Rock Creek is not much as dams go but it might be better than a "Goose Egg". If it works for you Great. If not, I know you all will be in Great company and Great country. Have a Ball!!!!

Still looking for a roomie. Just in case, I have a room at the Oasis reserved, again.

Volcano to Maupin for evening activities and entertainment. Yeehaw! :yahoo:

This mean I won't be seeing you boys at the DamTour finale party? Ken, want me to pickup your trophy for you?

Actually had to back out of 10/10 ride to Windy Ridge, because of the Dam Tour event in Longview, But plan on riding over to Maupin afterwards for the evening events.

Can I go if I live in Oregon? I used to live in Washington and still feel very Washingtonianish? Just getting back from a tour to Beartooth in Montana, so the wife may balk a little. Maybe just go without saying anything, then call her from Maupin and apologize?

Hmm, got an FJR?

Gas and food money?

Able to enjoy riding with others?

Can you kick tires with the best of them?

Forgiveness from your wife to let you out again in the future?

If yes to all of the above, you might qualify for someone that can attend.

Otherwise, ask n2osx, blufjr, FJRay regarding oregonians joining in. I am sure there are others too.

Ah jeez, did ya have to go and call me an oregonian?

Good luck finding a room. I have been checking and Maupin is full of bird hunters. I will probably drive up for Sat evening bs session and dinner but don't feel like looking for bambi on the way home.

I got a room at the Oasis yesterday, they had more.

It's B-day weekend (Sunday is Daughter's party) and like so many of my post I'd love to be there, but not thinking the wife is going to be too pumped if I go. I might buzz up Sat. afternoon and head home in late afternoon. I'd love to BS with you all.

The more the better! As a little background, and if my old brain remembers...this is the third meet at Maupin for the PNW gang. We did a lunch meet and eat the first time and a stay-over the next. The 'plan' is to be out early on Saturday morning for a fun ride to the fossil beds and then an afternoon bench racing session. Hope to see you there.

Time for a T- 1 week check in. Weather looks to be holding, at least Saturday. I just reviewed the thread again...has anyone's plans changed?

Confirmed we have:

AuburnFJR & Mrs.

Beamer Reamer & Mrs.

Hudson

Escapefjrtist

Panman

bikerskier

blufjr

MCRider007

Barabus & Mrs. ?

FJRay & Mrs. -- Sat. dinner

n2osx & Mrs. -- Sat. dinner

Anyone else going to surprise us? Where's the rest of the PDX crew? Anyone other than Duster19 and dustyrains for a possible Saturday check-in?

We'll be leaving early Friday morning from Seattle. Hopefully (depending on side trips) this will put us in Maupin 4ish on Friday. See y'all there.

As the hotel where we are staying is also the best place to eat, why don't those who are going PM me and I'll let them know how many for six o'clock dinners Fri and Sat.

Looking more and more like a quick ride over on Saturday for lunch with the peeps. Sockmonkey also in the same boat.
Ralph, if I'm reading this right you're going to come over for lunch? Most of us are planning to make a loop and probably won't be back until late afternoon. We could plan an early dinner, but I still don't see that happening before 5 or so. Give me a call my friend.

I got greeted by about 3" of snow this morning. Should be gone by mid week I hope.
