Octolillo California Tragedy - 7 down, 5 dead

Well all I can say is if you can't distinguish between someone expressing their disgust for killing innocent people on motorcycles and someone being ignorant of the law and what their actions would result in... then shut the **** up and ask first before posting stupid fucking idiot comments.

Octolillo California Tragedy - 7 down, 5 dead

What about my reply would cause you to make a comment like that? Or do you just make dumb ass comments for no reason at all? Or maybe yer just fucking stupid?

    FJR and curves

Put BT023 GT spec on about 1k ago, one day put about 45 lb in the front (3 lb over)... wow, what a difference that made in handling! Responds to input extremely well now. Before was okay but now is outstanding. That said, it's important to note, in case it's not known, any bike responds better...

Octolillo California Tragedy - 7 down, 5 dead

Got u now m8, and u know, given the asinine driving this person already demonstrated, it's not that far of a reach to imagine they just kept on going and didn't bother to look back. You can see someone who has already displayed no concern for others doing that. Maybe some kind of drug cartel...

Octolillo California Tragedy - 7 down, 5 dead

Kind of having a hard time getting to the Honda driver not knowing... they're in the wrong lane and a car has to swerve out of the way to avoid a head on collision with them? The Honda driver is not looking forward and doesn't see this? Just can't get there myself. Of course none of us know for...

    Rossi - Yamaha

Yup, that was great stuff, kind of like a moment in history, a unique perspective pretty much like none other. One might guess all the other riders could benefit by that somewhat, but of course they have their unique moments too... great stuff.

    Earplugs Redoux

It *sounds* like you've experienced what good (fitting) earplugs are like. I use the Hear-o's, also available at pharmacy's, and wouldn't ride without them. As we all know, hearing loss is permanent. Heck I've even slept using the Hear-o's. At a noisy campsite, worked great :)

    Another Powerlet Install

Ooops should have worded that differently burnspot... there were only 2 options for "me". Or what I was willing to go to the trouble of. I did search but it seemed like most of what I found was the left side or right side, and drilling holes. So I'm happy with what mine ended up and posted just...

    Another Powerlet Install

Don't use my powerlet for much more then powering the air compressor or to plug in the battery tender. For the GenII, there seemed to be 2 options, get a GenI kit and drill a hole somewhere on the right hand side, or get a GenII and run the wires under the dash to the left hand side to the...

Wanna see how you fit on that VFR?

That's very cool. I put the arm straightness at 80%, which seems to simulate the "flat wrist" and no weight on your hands, the way I like to ride. Changing the height to be appropriate and it really does seem to show correct ergos. like it.

    Stebel Air Horn

Has anyone (not me just yet) looked at hanging the stebel inside the right fairing? then making horizontal slat holes for the horn part? The reason I ask is because that's the way the stebel was mounted on the st1300. The oem horn is actually inside the fairing and points left and forwards...

    The Norton Project

Haha that was awesome, those things really had a great sound. Luv the "Norton Rules" at the end :)

    Bridgestone BT 023 GT Update

Also using the 023 GT here and very happy with it. Just have the front on now as the oem 021 rear has some life in it. Only have about 1500 miles on it but it's very stable, good grip and showing no wear at all now. With the way it's going, would bet on maybe 10k miles without too much trouble...

Harley rider pre-ride check off list: NWS! but funny

pretty funny, must admit. But the feej rider I'm sure is thankful to the HD couple that helped him out... stereotypes are one thing, but not everyone fits the exact mold :)

Looking for durable practical motorcycle type boots

Well since everyone is chiming in, and you weren't that specific with your needs, here's my fav boot that will work for riding and walking... https://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/1/36/18454/ITEM/Sidi-Slash-Riding-Shoes.aspx Not inexpensive. But the sidi's, at least this size have been a...

    VFR1200

Have looked carefully at the 1200, sat on one but not ridden one. Have owned 2 vtecs. While there's clearly some great aspects about the new vfr (that engine), the ergos are pretty much like the vtec. So in that regard, it's not really anything dramatic. I think it's a beautiful bike, but the...

Compare: Dragon Tail / Devil's Highway

Haven't ridden the devils hgwy but really the question compares apples to apples? The Gap (and I'd never ride it on the wkend, that's when all the loonies are there) is only 11 miles... but it's 318 turns in 11 miles... does that compare to Devils hgwy? People compare the Gap to The Blueridge...

    New Helmet FF

this is a youtube vid I did of changing the Arai Face Shield... it's really not that difficult https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFFf4867XGI Wanted to add though, a used helmet is always a chance. If it's been dropped from like more then 3 or 4 feet, onto something hard like cement (etc)...
