I would agree with Jim and/or take rt. 220 north to rt. 30 east all the to York, excellent ride, good roads, great views and good places to stop and eat. Ankhman

from the factory the fjr has these cheap rubber straps that go around and cover the hose clamps on the air intake, look at the bottom right side. If they come loose(as mine have ) they will make a sound as you are describing, good luck! Ankhman

mine came with the bike and I use them daily....keeps stuff in one place and with the ease of removing all contents at once. Ankhman

you could save alot of money and just buy a pair of bicycle gel shorts....a good pair makes all the difference on any seat and they are cool under any riding gear...it may be worth trying, you have little to lose. Ankhman

check your tire pressure a few times through out the ride...... Ankhman

Keith, Did you happen to climb Seneca Rocks? What a view, best pics ever...with a camera of course. Also did you ride to the top of Spruce Knob? Nothing like it east of the Mississippi! Sounds like a great ride, sorry for the loss of the camera. Ankhman

Looking forward to my first EOM... :yahoo: I do alot of riding in WVA and it is truly a fantastic state for riding. You can choose the highways or the byways all routes are excellent. The ride from Elkins to Lewisburg on 219 is probably one of the best rides that is out there, bring a camera...
