Hondapotamus, Hondapotamus, Hondapotamus, Hondapotamus, Hondapotamus, Hondapotamus, Hondapotamus, Hondapotamus, Hondapotamus, Hondapotamus, Hondapotamus, Hondapotamus,...

I really cannot help myself, I really can't; I just love saying the word Hondapotamus over and over, then visualizing Richard Fairlaner riding a Hondapotamus. Even SkooterG is now laughing at it!
Uh-oh. I may be hitchhiking

Every ride with Fairlaner is "interesting"! ...
Would that be "Fair weather, or I ride my Audi" Fairlaner? :D ;)
Actually NightShine, I do believe that 'R' gets better weather protection on the Hondapotamus than he does in the Audi!!!

Uh-oh. I may be hitchhiking

Er....no, but you may be in for an "interesting" ride. :yahoo:
Every ride with Fairlaner is "interesting" invigorating! The only FJR person I know who rides more "interesting" than Richard is SkooterG!
Amended it for you, Don.

You're welcome. ;)
Thanks Mike, you say potato and I say "Fecking Nuts"!

are we there yet?

R
+10, 2X Gunny!!

Richard, I just can't believe more of the regular FJR SoCal Crowd have not rolled out for this event! johnny80s, Neil, Simon, Roy and all of the other whack jobs!

What's up with that?

I keep grinding away on my boy Skooty to ride to LV-DV, but he's still non-comittal; but he's been talking to Don Carver. GreggieM can room with Enrique also!

comedy show at this point is supposed to be Wednesday night but we don't know which one yet, Thursday night there will be at lot of us in LV so harder to organize anything, was just thinking of doing the Freemont street thing.

Some one told me that there is a Zip line down Freemont street now does anyone know if that is the case?

R

Zip lining the Strip in LV? WTF?

Excuse me, but somehow in my book, a ride to Death Valley should NOT be promoted as the decline of Western civilization? Think about what happened to Rome or England. Always, ride your own ride! Be aware and be sensible. I may have been know to set less of a sterling example myself in the past but hopefully(?), I am over it.

I know for sure that there are a few of you out there who are going on this ride, that consider this an unparalled experience in natural phenomenon = mostly the sensations, the scenery, or the comraderie(?). You have probably already decided for yourselves what led you to meet up for this ride.

Riding through the valley, there will be tourists, some in vehicles that may even provide life support. Some you will pass because they are slow drivers gawking at the sights. Many travellers are there for the same reasons you are, except Not ALL for the party. So, don't frickin' ruin it for them or yourselves OK? The place/experience is preserved and maintained for everyone plus, it is a disaster to wait for service in such a BIG place, so far away from anything!

Aren't you glad it's Friday, less than a week from departure?

Best,

Could someone sum up the itineraries? So far the NorCal group is leaving the Sacramento area at 9:00 AM and planning to travel to Lone Pine on 3/10 via US0 89, 88, 395. Friday in DV and staying at LongStreet 3/11. More DV on Saturday with overnight in Lone Pine and returning to Sacramento via best available route considering weather.

Has anyone planned a ride itinerary for DV on Friday or Saturday?

The drinking would start early for this group. So the rides would start whenever the hangovers wear off...

riding always starts early as we never have hangovers :drinks: :drinks: :drinks: ..........as far a ride planning goes we don't really do that as we have been to DV so many times that there is not much we have not seen.

I for one would like to take a few more pictures this year.........
