Looks like I may be riding/driving up on Friday.

R
Once again, I wish to firmly state, I want my My Friends to come to Death Valley Daze: NO MATTER WHAT MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION THEY ARRIVE ON!

Spoke at length with johnny80s last night, Juan has mid-week Las Vegas business he has to do for his job; so it makes sense he brings his truck to Nevada.

johnny80s will party hearty with us Friday night and return to his Fallbrook Family on Saturday. If you have a cool set of wheels, such as a hot Audi or a Mustang, then bring them up on Friday. Dante's Peak Road is just as fun to blast on an A6 or a 'Stang as it is on an FJR or Beemer. Just come for the party!

Heresy!
Jeez Marie, Skooty! I am trying to get Fairlaner to come to DVD, don't **** this up. I mean, you have two types of the English: 1) You have the rough and tough motorcycling Brit like David "Orestes" Clarke, a John Bull in the mold of Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery commanding the British Army to victory.

2) Then you have a more genteel and demure Englishman such as Richard, somewhat of an older version of George Michael of Wham, off to the men's room!

Hey, what's some good natured ribbing among friends...

...don't get yer panties in a wad my friend.

Sounds like a great time....from snow and slush filled Wheaton.

Wheatie: "No good deed goes unpunished!" Here I'm being complimentary to both men and this is the thanks I receive. GM has won many awards, multiple times; from BRIT, Grammies, American Music Awards, MTV and Juno, etceteras, in both Europe and USA! And Monty won the Legion of Merit from The United States and The Most Noble Order of the Garter from the United Kingdom!

I've decided to ride naked, cut myself every hour with a dull razor blade, pour salt in all the cuts every half hour, ride the whole way standing up with a hard on and fck the weather the entire way!

:)

I got cheezy raingear, a sportbike with no fairing, I'll most likely get wet and cold on the way.

Life ain't about comfortable, it's all about the adventure.

When they write my epitaph let it show that while I failed often I never failed to try.

Saturday looks like a nice day to ride in the Valley of Death.

https://www.intellicast.com/Local/Weather.a...cation=USCA0286 Gregg, I think we are going to get a weather break in Arizona and Nevada. Most recent from Intellicast is still showing "a few showers" for either of the routes from Phoenix to Death Valley. And still showing clear at 60 degrees F for Saturday's ride!

Accuweather report this morning has no rain in death valley fri-sunday, as it's MLK day "keep hope alive!"
marcusorelius-Mark and GalaxyBlue-Adam: Guys, please check in with me with your cell phone numbers ASAP. Use either [email protected] or Home 480-917-3863 or Cell 480-440-4666. I already have Big-D/Dan C.'s cell phone number from Lake Havasu City. I just talked to my Lady Friend Rena, she flies into Phoenix from Houston on Thursday evening. She just told me in no uncertain terms that she is riding behind me up to Death Valley Daze and back. No discussion on this one!

She said she's no "girlie": She's a motorcyclist and only way she is going to DVD is on the back of "Ingrid" behind me. Hombre, I love going on rides with this Lady!

Rena has ridden the Alps with me in snow and rain a number of times; she has ridden to Mexico with me dozens of times; from Baja C. to San Miguel de Allende, Queretaro at Christmas in order to party in front of La Cathedral on New Year's Eve in "El Jardin"! I had mentioned Illinois before, she's from Richton Park, IL.

Now, in case it's pouring when we leave the Cracker Barrel at 0730 on Friday morning; I want to propose an alternate route to keep us off snowy passes!

I'll call you 3 if this new routing occurs at 0700: Instead of 93 all the way to Las Vegas and then 95 to 373 to Amargosa Valley, Nevada, here is the new plan-

Interstate 10 to Quartzsite and north on AZ 95 to Parker; cross over to Vidal Junction and CA 95 to Needles and then Searchlight and Boulder City via NV 95.

Only 40 miles extra, but it keeps us at lower elevations. When we're in Henderson, we're back on our original routing to the Longstreet Inn and Casino-DVD.

Attaboy! My cousin rode to CFR with me on his '85 BMW, no fairing or windshield and only one heated grip working, and we hit 2 degrees (I dunno - about 34 in your language) and snow in WY. We rode in LOTS of rain.

Then again, we're crazy canucks ......

Yeah, but you were secretly thinking Boy George!

Is there a difference?

Hey guys I know there is a lot of macho crap going on about riding out in the rain to DVD and some people are thinking about canceling. Please don't cancel. Drive out in a car if you have too. We will have a good time and still go out and see everything. Be safe. I like my friends alive and do not want to have to visit them in a hospital or the morgue. I am not sure if I will ride or take my truck as I have to be in Vegas all week for business too. I will decide tonight.

Hope to see everyone there.

You should see all the crap out there in cyberspace with my name on it.
