Then either Glacier NP or down closer to Y'stone and the Beartooth. I don't remember riding out into the ocean, but . . .
Milke, if it's an "either-or" situation, go with Beartooth and Chief Joseph.

But really, you can do both. Do Going to the Sun eastbound, then ride south to Columbus, and to Red Lodge to get on the Beartooth. Ride that west to the Chief Joe, then take Joseph southeast to Cody.

In Cody pick up US Route 14 and ride that as far east as you can. That will take you up and over the Bighorns. It is great riding all the way out to the Devil's Tower area of Wyoming, though you'll be on I-90 from Gillette to Moorcroft, WY,

From the Badlands we stuck with US 14 from Pierre all the way to the Twin Cities (Minn). It's not nearly as bad as riding the slab.

We stayed in the city campgrounds at Spearfish. If you are camping, I would check that place out. Clean, Quite, and cheap
Did you really mean this?^ ...or maybe u meant "quite cheap" or "quiet" and cheap.

Not busting, as you prob know way more of the whacky English grammar system than myself, I just had to chime-in w this... with you being a skool teach n all

You got me on the Auto Correct. Big fingers on small phone keys. Late night posts rarely get reviewed before posting as well.

At least it was not like that Banjoboy's posts.
I'm at fault prob more than most, no worries. Just had to b/c of the skool teach stuff

So did Mike & Ralph hook up together? If they didn't, they should have. Their SPOTS put them only a few (if even that many) miles apart from each other.

I know storms in that part of the country can come in quickly and pack quite the wallop.

Ralph came up to Spearfish and we met him for Breakfast.

Ralph and mike headed East on US 212 trying to get ahead of and then stay ahead of the Weather.

Ralph's immediate Goal is a tire in Ottawa Canada on Friday evening,

Mike was going to accompany him to Wisconsin and was wrestling with whether to take the SS Badger from Manitwoc to Ludington MI or head up into Canadaistan with Ralph.

Spots should show them making quick time together towards the Missouri River and then on to Minnesota for the evening.

Weather here has turned to ****! Cool (mid-50's and rain today, High in the 40's tomorrow with rain and high in the 30's on Thursday with 3-6" of that wonderful white stuff. That's life on the High Prairie folks! 70's again next week

Here's hoping the crap weather out east clears up for Mike

Looks like he changed his mind at Fort Pierre to parallel the river instead - good move

Ralph and I are holed up in Huron SD, sharing a room. We got thru some rain after Spearfish, rode thru the Badlands, and got on some back roads toward Pierre (or "Peer"). Then it rained all the way here. Supposed to be drier tomorrow. I'm not going into Canada with Ralph but we'll start off tomorrow and part ways somewhere along. He's on a much tighter deadline than I am. I like Big John's ferry across Lake Michigan idea so that's a good possibility right now. For what it's worth, I'm having a hell of a good time on this adventure.

Still lurking here... watching to see when you'll be in the NE.

Mike PM'd me for a possible meetup and ride in my CNY/Syracuse area for 9/17. Since I will be departing for NAFO on that same day, we'll be waving at each other!... but in opposite directions.

So Mr. Fred, expect him maybe in your NE area ~ 17-18th?

If you are coming thru the Twin Cities I am sure you could find a few places to overnight at.

I am 2 miles south of 94 in Rogers, Mn on the NW side of Minneapolis, just a quick jaunt off the highway if you need it and I am off all day Thursday.

Looks like another chilly ride for them today. Talked to Mike last night and he figures on getting here mid afternoon.
Looks like at least it'll be a dry ride.

Wonder if I should put the scotch on the oven for a bit?

I was hoping to join Mike for a ride into Central NY from Buffalo on the 19th, but I have to head to Florida to visit my Dad. Sorry Mike! As for suggested rides in that area, I think KJ could provide some great info there. That's his stomping grounds.

Yeah, he's got relatives in Williamsville that he'll be staying with for a while and then heading for CNY on the 19th. I was going to play hooky that day and ride with him, but my dad is not doing well down in FL and I need to go see him.

I see Mike is in northern lower Michigan today. Nice riding up there, although flat. I'm in CA this week and will be heading to PA on Monday if current plans hold up. Nice to see this trip going well and safely. Have fun in Owasso.

Yep Mark yer right.
