ngarider, there is a rubber or silicone gasket around the reed valve that the original cover seals to. I didn't do anything different or add any silicone. It seemed to seal fine although I have to admit I didn't spend much time checking.

The Morgan Carbtune is a little more expensive as tstaff says but it works great. It only took a week to get it from across the pond, it's well built and is easy to use. You can't go wrong with it if you decide to get one.

I have the heavies on my Triumph Sprint and I liked them. I find the extra length makes them easy to grab with the heal of my hand and my little finger to engage. But the MC Cruise on the FJR is nicer!

graytaz, I didn't have any problem getting my 06 through the safety inspection in Alberta. Since the odo clearly specifies it reads in miles there's no issue. I think they give you a sticker for the odo if it doesn't state one way or the other. I doubt you'd have any problem getting it...
