Got the LR4s in the mail yesterday. They look very nice. Gary's mirror mounts, advriders dimmer, and a farkling we will go!

FYI Folks - Our first shipment of dimmers has arrived, after a long wait. Here's a new pic:

dimmer-new.jpg

What's changed since the last pictures:

1. All wires come out of one grommet.

2. Different wire coloring so you know which is input and which is output.

3. Leads extended to two feet to make it easier on the end user.

I know some folks here were waiting, so let me know if you want one. They should be ready to ship on Monday. Pricing will be about $36. With discount, that should be right around $30. With a pair of lights, pricing will be $10 less. I'll have all the details sorted over the next few days.

PM's will be answered soon, I need to sort out a few things first :)

FYI - if you have a set of our lights already, you'll get the discounted pricing.

Looks to be much better quality than previous and better than the advmonster I purchased. That's what I get for being impatient.

Nice,

Dave

I don't think there will be much of a difference. Should work the same, other than the full off, which is handy. Another nice thing about ours is you can panel mount it of you want to drill a hole. Not sure if the one you have can do that or not. Here's an install another member here did with one of our prototypes:

Well, good news and bad news. The good news is mostly for you, and the bad news is mostly for us

.

Bad news first: I'm not happy with how the first batch of dimmers look after we seal them up. Electronically, they work great, and are fully functional. Cosmetically, they are below my standards, and as such, I'm not happy selling them as a full retail product. Here's some pictures:

Now, the good news: Our loss is your gain; another great special for FJR Forum members. These are not that bad looking; we just have high standards for anything we sell. So, if you want a great deal, and cosmetic imperfections are not that important to you, we're offering one free dimmer from this batch with the purchase of a pair of LR4 lights. If you want to take advantage of this deal, use the link below to order a pair of LR4's, and the dimmer will be included free. FJR15 coupon applies as always.

If you already have a set of our lights and would like one of these dimmers, the cost will be $15 shipped (US) - PM me if you need one.

Note: We may be a few days behind getting these orders shipped out for this special.

We're making some modifications to the next batch of dimmers to use an O-ring sealed case and a waterproof grommet/loom to avoid the need for secondary sealing.

Dimmer Specs are as follows:

Dimming Mode - Continually variable Pulse Width Modulation

Supply Voltage - 8 to 20 Volts DC

Output Current - 7 Amps at 13.8 Volts DC

2 Foot Leads for easy wiring

Over Voltage Protection

Over Current Protection

Wiring:

Input + = red (From battery)
Input - = black (From battery)
Output + = gray (To Lights)
Output - = white (To Lights)
Bypass = blue (Connect to switched 12v source to bypass dimmed setting )

Any questions? Post them here or PM, happy to answer.

Are those "first batch" dimmers waterproof as we

So how do I go about ordering just a standalone dimmer? Theirs no option for it on the website.

Regardless, I'm in for one. I was going to buy a Skene, but for $15...

I you need a dimmer, send me a PM for payment info. I updated the post above with that just now as well :)

Justin,
Just ordered a set with dimmer. Have you put a price point for the 4.5" 25watt spots yet.

Thanks
Thanks for the order Phil :)

The 4.5 inch spots are going to be somewhere around $300 for a pair with harness and clear covers. I'll be doing a special on the first batch though, and hope to be around $250.

Any of those "ugly" dimmers still available? Probably be putting in an order for LR62s soon. Needin' to be seein' all I can of the NV nightlife in May you know.

You bet. I don't have a free dimmer purchase URL setup for the LR62 lights (just the LR4's). So if you order a pair, shoot me a message to make sure that gets thrown in.
